10-1-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hours MST today, the Land Depression which crossed the North Sri Lanka Coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna has moved West-Northwestwards slowly and crossing North Sri Lanka. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (22) miles west-southwest of Ann), latitude 19.69°N, longitude 93.71°E, depth (51) kilometers, about (62) miles southeast of Sittwe seismological observatory was recorded at (17) hr (32) min (09) sec M.S.T on 29th October, 2023.
