15-10-2024:According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over South Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and reached over Southwest Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal during next (12) hrs and may reach to North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India around 17-10-2024 morning.

A moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (15) miles southwest of Mogaung), latitude 25.15°N, longitude 96.75°E, depth (10) kilometers, about (51) miles southwest of Myitkyina seismological observatory was recorded at (23) hr (01) min (17) sec M.S.T on 29th December, 2023.
