A moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (15) miles southwest of Mogaung), latitude 25.15°N, longitude 96.75°E, depth (10) kilometers, about (51) miles southwest of Myitkyina seismological observatory was recorded at (23) hr (01) min (17) sec M.S.T on 29^th December, 2023.
