8-9-2024:: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 370 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, 440 Nautical miles West  of  Thandwe (Myanmar), 145 Nautical miles East of Kalingapatnam(India), 105 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur, 100 Nautical miles South of Paradip and 190 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

EARTHQUAKE NEWS

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.2) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (19) miles northwest of Paungbyin), latitude 24.42 °N, longitude 94.56 °E, depth (67) kilometers, about (20) miles northeast of Tamu seismological observatory was recorded at (01) hr (57) min (51) sec M.S.T on 3rd February, 2024.
