7-1-2026 According to the observations at 13:00 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has further intensified into Depreassion almost stationary. It is centered at about 650 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco- Island(Myanmar), 435 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 615 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.3) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (19) miles northeast of Pathein), latitude 16.85°N, longitude 95.00°E, depth (10) kilometers, about (75) miles west of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (22)hr (17)min (45)sec M.S.T on 7th March, 2024.
