7-1-2026 According to the observations at 18:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has move West-Northwest. It is centered at about 645 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 420 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 605 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A Slight earthquake of magnitude (4.5) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about 15 miles northeast of Paungpyin), latitude 24.44°N, longitude 94.96°E, depth (110) kilometers, about (44) miles northeast of Tamu seismological observatory was recorded at (02) hr (31) min (47) sec M.S.T on 19th January, 2025.
