10-1-2026 According to the observations at 17:30 hours MST today, the Land Depression which crossed the North Sri Lanka has been moved West-Northwestwards slowly and continue to move West-Northwestward and gradually weaken during next 12 hrs. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.1) Richter Scale with its epicenter Myanmar Sea (about (28) miles southeast of Kungyangon), latitude 16.08°N, longitude 96.22 °E, depth (28) kilometers, about (54) miles south of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (09) hr (28) min (06) sec M.S.T on 21th   August, 2025.
