24-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northweatwards and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (20) miles west of Sidoktaya), latitude 20.46 °N, longitude 93.93 °E, depth (16) kilometers, about (81) miles southwest of Nyaung-U seismological observatory was recorded at (05)hr (20)min (46)sec M.S.T on 17th February, 2026.
