10-1-2026: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 855 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka) and 270 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). It is likely to move Northwestwards, weaken into a Depression and may cross North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
EARTHQUAKE NEWS
A slight earthquake of magnitude (3.1) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (4) miles southeast of Hsipaw), latitude 22.576 °N, longitude 97.328 °E , depth (10) kilometers about (4) miles southeast of Hsipaw seismological observatory was recorded at (17)hr (46)min (37)sec M.S.T. on 7th June, 2018.
