1-12-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.1) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar ( about (25)miles southwest of Phyu) latitude 18.31°N, longitude 96.09°E, depth (10) kilometers about (48) miles southwest of Taungoo seismological observatory was recorded at (19)hr (51)min (22)sec M.S.T. on 17th June, 2018.
