 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

EARTHQUAKE NEWS

 A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.8) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (20) miles south-southwest of Paungbyn), latitude 24.00°N, longitude 96.69°E, depth (90) kilometers about (28) miles southeast of Tamu seismological observatory was recorded at (18)hr (25)min (19)sec M.S.T. on 16th August, 2018.
