3-9-2025:: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 24 hrs. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (12) miles northwest of Paungbyin), latitude 24.43°N, longitude 94.71°E, depth (73) kilometers about (29) miles southeast of Tamu seismological observatory was recorded at (10)hr (55)min (31)sec M.S.T. on 28^th August, 2018.
