17-2-2026:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude (3.6) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (4) miles northwest of Hopin), latitude 25.01°N, longitude 96.46°E, depth (10)kilometers, about (72) miles southwest of Myitkyina seismological observatory was recorded at (22)hr (08)min (10)sec M.S.T on 30th January, 2019.
