24-5-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, a depression over Central Bay of Bengal has moved Northeastwards and it is centered at about (285) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco Island, (320) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun, (345) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Gwa, (350) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Thandwe (Myanmar),(380) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh) and (385) Nautical miles South of Canning (West Bangal, India). Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

EARTHQUAKE NEWS

A slight earthquake of magnitude (3.5) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (18) miles northeast of Mawlaik), latitude 23.85°N, longitude 94.58°E, depth (78) kilometers, about (30) miles southeast of Tamu seismological observatory was recorded at (18) hr (01) min (09) sec M.S.T on 22nd February, 2020.
