8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has move West-Northwestwards and no lies over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean. It is centered at about 685 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 340 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 535 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A slight earthquake of magnitude (3.5) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (14)miles south of Puangbyin ), latitude 24.06°N, longitude 94.81°E, depth (89)kilometers, about (34)miles east-southeast of Tuma seismological observatory was recorded at (10)hr (36)min (06)sec M.S.T on 16th August, 2020.
