8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has move West-Northwestwards and no lies over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean. It is centered at about 685 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 340 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 535 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A strong earthquake of magnitude (7.1) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Southwest of Sumatra, Indonesia), latitude 4.68°S, longitude 100.99°E, depth (135) kilometers, about (1517) miles south-southeast of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (04)hr (59)min (32)sec M.S.T on 19th August, 2020.
