8-1-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has move West-Northwestwards and no lies over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean. It is centered at about 685 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 340 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 535 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Nicobar Islands, India Region), latitude 9.37 °N, longitude 93.95 °E, depth (10) kilometers, about (537) miles southwest of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (19) hr (42) min (27) sec M.S.T on 24th June, 2025.
