27-5-2024:According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” has crossed Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts (India), has  moved North-Northeastwards and weakened into a Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” and continuously  crossed to Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts between Sagar Island (India) and Khepupara, close to Mongla (Bangladesh).Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous over the Eastcentral Bay. Weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

The Well Marked Low Pressure Area formed over the North Bay of Bengal during the third dekad of July may further intensify into a Depression in the first dekad of August. Monsoon will be strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition and Rainy Day

         Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Upper Sagaing, East Bago Regions and Northern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, and about normal in NayPyiTaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States.

         Rainy days are expected about (7) to (10) days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and  (3) to (6) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State.
