It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Rain or thundershowers will be below normal in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States and  about normal in Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States.

Rainy days are expected about about 1 to 2 days in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan States. Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
