1-12-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards weaken into a Deep Depression and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 40 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Channei. It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) and may weak into Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair in the Andaman Sea, cloudy in Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Southwest monsoon is likely to set in the whole country during (2-5) of June. During this period, monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Northern and Eastern Shan State, below normal in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and about normal in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

Rainy days are expected about (7) to (9) days in Upper Sagaing, East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and (4) to (6) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago Regions and Kayah State.
