29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Southwest monsoon is likely to set in the whole country during (1 – 5) of June. A low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. During this period, monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Day 

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern and Eastern Shan, Kayah States, below normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and about normal in East Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States.

Rainy days are expected about (7) to (9) days in Upper Sagaing, East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and (4) to (6) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago Regions and Southern and Eastern Shan, Kayah States.
