29-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Srilanka has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 785 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 135 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 80 Nautical miles North-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and reach over Southwest Bay of Bengal (near the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Conditon

Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Central Myanmar area during (1-5) of June and the whole country during (6-10) of June. A low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and its may further intensify into a depression. During this period, monsoon will be moderate to strong. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal.

 Rain condition and Rainy Day

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Tanintharyi Regions and (Southern & Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, below normal in Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about normal in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine States.

Rainy days are expected about (7) to (10) days in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Tanintharyi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and  (3) to (6) days in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States.
