It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A Low Pressure Area may form over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition and Rainy Day

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Upper Saging, East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.

Rainy days are expected about 8 to 10 days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about 4 to 7 days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State.
