It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (8-13) of May. A low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and its may further intensify into the depression. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy  in the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Day

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan and Kayah States and about normal in Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.

Rainy days are expected about (6) to (8) days in Upper Sagaing, East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and (3) to (5) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.

Day temperature will be (1.5°C) below normal of May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin and Shan States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayah,  Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
