 24-7-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move towards West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha Coasts, India during next 36 hours. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Flood condition of Lay Myo River

         According to the (14:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Lay Myo River has exceeded by about (4½) feet at Myauk U above its danger level. It may continute to rise about (1½) feet during the next (2) days and may remain above its danger level.

Advisory

         It is especially advised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Myauk U Township, to take precaution measure.
