(1.12.2023): According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a Depression during next (12) hrs. It would intensify gradually into a Cyclonic Storm over Southwest Bay of Bengal on (3.12.2023). Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

            According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, due to clouds moving from the East, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls during from today afternoon to (23.8.2022).

During this period, rain are likely to be (3)inches (77-mm) and above in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States within (24)hours.

Advisory

Due to the heavy rainfall, people should be awared of the natural disasters such as flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport and domestic flight.
