Low Pressure Area Condition

According to the observations at (06:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the West Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It may further intensify into a Depression during next (12)hrs. Thereafter it is likely to move North-Northeastwards and may further intensify into a Deep Depression during next (36)hrs near West Bengal (India) and Bengladesh coasts.
General Caution
Due to the low pressure area, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and fairly widespread to widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls and squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts from today morning to (24.10.2020).

Due to the low pressure area, people should be aware heavy rainfall with strong wind, flash flood and landslide near the hilly areas and also small rivers.
