30-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea now lies over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is likely to intensify over Central Andaman Sea during next (36)hrs.

General caution

Due to the low pressure area, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States and isolated in Naypyitaw with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts during (1.4.2021) to (5.4.2021).
