25-10-2025:According to the observations at 11:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards and further intensified into a depression. It is centered at about 330 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 530 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India), 540 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify into a deep depression on 26-10-2025 and Cyclonic Storm may form over the Southwest Bay and adjoining over Westcentral Bay of Bengal on 27-10-2025. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwardsand intensify into a Depression in the evening of (7.5.2022), into a Cyclonic Storm in the evening of (8.5.2022). It is forecast continuous to move Northwestwards and reach to West Central Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off north Andhra­-PradeshOdisha coasts, India) around (10.5.2022). 

General caution

Due to the low pressure area, rain or thundershowers will be scattered to fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, TaninthayiRegions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States during (6.5.2022) to (10.5.2022) with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in some Regions and States.Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-TaninthayiCoasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-TaninthayiCoasts.
