 24-7-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move towards West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha Coasts, India during next 36 hours. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

     According to the observation at (13:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure
 area over the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal, Northern 
part of Rakhine coast still persists. It is likely to move Northwest wards and become 
Well marked low pressure area during next (6)hrs and concentrate into a Depression 
during next (24)hrs. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards and may cross West Bengal
 and North Odisha(India).
    Due to the Low pressure area, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread
 in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions 
and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavyfalls
with strong wind during today Noon to(20.8.2022).

People should be awaredthe heavy rainfall with strong wind, the natural disasters such

as flash flood andlandslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport

and domestic flight.
