It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours.  Weather is  partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at 21:30 hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal on 2-10-2025 and may cross into the South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts on 3-10-2025.
