30-11-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

          Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during second (10) days of May, Deltaic and Central Myanmar Areas during third (10) days of May. Two Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into the Depression.  During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

          Above normal rain are likely in Rakhine State, below normal in Lower Sagaing Region, Eastern Shan and Chin States and about normal in the remaining Regions and States.

         Rainy days are expected about (8) to (12) days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Chin States and (13) to (16) days in the remaining Regions and States.

          Day Temperature will be above May average temperature in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States.
