Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Central Myanmar Areas during (1-5) of June, the whole country during (6-10) of June. Two Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into the Depression. During this period, monsoon will be moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Rain Conditions and Rainy Days
Rain will be expected below normal in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States.
Rainy days will be expected 21 to 26 days in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, 15 to 20 days in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States, 9 to 14 days in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kayah State.
