Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in the whole country during (2-5) of June. A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. During this period, monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Rain Conditions and Rainy Days
Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Kachin State, below normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and about normal in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
Rainy days are expected about (21) to (26) days in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, (15) to (20) days in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Northern and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and (9) to (14) days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions.
