Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (16-20) of May, Deltaic Areas during (21-25) of May and Central Myanmar during (26 - 31)of May. Two Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into the Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Rain Conditions and Rainy Days
Above normal rain are likely in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, about normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Shan, Chin and Kayah States.
Rainy days are expected about (16) to (22) days in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, about (8) to (15) days in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States.
Day Temperature
Day Temperature will be about normal in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
