Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (16-21) of May, Deltaic Areas during (22-27) of May and Central Myanmar Areas during (28 May – 2 June) . One Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into the Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
Rain Conditions and Rainy Days
Rain or thundershower will be expected above normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about normal in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
Rainy days will be expected 15 to 22 days in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and 7 to 14 days in Nay Pyi Taw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayah States.

Day temperature will be (1.5 °C) above normal of May average maximum temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about normal of May average maximum temperature in Nay Pyi Taw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayayarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
