Bay of Bengal Condition

Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (16th – 20th of May), Deltaic Areas during (21st – 25th of May), Central Myanmar Areas during (26th – 31st of May). Two Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers are likely to be above normal in  Yangon, East Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, West Bago, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States.

Rainy days are expected about (15) to (21) days in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States and about (8) to (14) days in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing  Regions and Kayah, Shan States.

Day Temperature

Day Temperature will be about normal of May average maximum temperature  in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
