Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (13th – 18th of May), Deltaic Areas during (19th – 24th of May), Central Myanmar Areas during (25th – 30th of May) and Northern Myanmar Areas during (31st of May - 5th June). Two Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Rain Condition and Rainy Days
Rain or thundershowers are likely to be about normal in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
Rainy days are expected about (17) to (22) days in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and about (11) to (16) days in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States.

Day Temperature will be (1.5°C) above normal of May average maximum temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and about normal of May average maximum temperature in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
