SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been fairly widespread in Yangon Region, scattered in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Ayeyarwady Region, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, weather has been generally fair in Kachin and Southern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below November average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, (2°C) below November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and Kachin State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (6°C) in Hakah, (7°C) in Heho and (9°C) in Mogoke. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hmawbi (0.16)inch and Kawkareik (0.12)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30) MST today, the tropical depression over the Gulf of Thailand, it’s centered at (70)miles east of Ranong (Thailand) and is moving westward. It is forecast to cross the Thailand Coast near Chumphon and reach to the Andaman Sea within next (12)hrs.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th NOVEMBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, isolated in Ayeyarwady Region, (Eastern and Southern)Shan and Kayah States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Easterly winds with moderate to rough seas will be experienced at times off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface winds speed in easterly winds may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Seas will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 9)feet in off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts and (3-5)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions.
