SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Northern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C above March average temperatures in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions, 2°C above March average temperatures in Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and 2°C below March average temperature in Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.5°C in Myinmu, 40.2°C in Myingyan, 40.1°C each in Chauk and Magway, 40.0°C each in Nyaung Oo and Sagaing, 39.8°C in Mandalay, 39.7°C in Monywa and 39.4°C each in Pyay and Myawaddy on 2-3-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.16 inch each in Putao and Machanbaw and 0.12 inch in Muse.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th March 2025: Rain will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
