SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above March average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and 2°C below March average temperature in Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 39.5°C in Taunggu, 39.2°C in Myawaddy, 39.0°C each in Shwekyin, Nyaunglaybin, Dawei and Hpa-an, 38.8°C in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 38.5°C in Chauk, 38.4°C in Pyay, 38.3°C in Kawkareik and 38.0°C each in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), Bago and Mawlamyine. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.24 inch in Dawei and 0.04 inch in Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th March 2025: Light rain are likely to be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayah, Southern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
