27-11-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca has moved East-Southeast and downgraded into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 380 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 120 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 150 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  495 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). It is likely continue to move Eastwards and weaken into a depression during next 12 hours. According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North-Northwest and intensified into a Deep Depression.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 150 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 370 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and towards North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan and Kayah States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Chin State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Chaungsone (3.50)inches, Paung (3.03)inches, Pathein (2.56) inches, Hainggyigyun (2.20)inches, Yay (2.09)inches, Pinlaebu (1.93)inches, Kyeikkhame (1.89) inches, Kawthaung (1.77)inches, Moemate (1.38)inches, Myingyan (1.30) inches, Mudon (1.26) inches and Kyeikmayaw (1.18)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan, Rakhine and Kayin States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h.  Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9) feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4 - 7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Rakhine Coasts.
