SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and Chin State, scattered in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.81 inches in Myitkyina, 2.96 inches in Putao, 2.56 inches in Belin, 1.78 inches in Myawaddy, 1.69 inches in Taunggu(Avia-Met), 1.34 inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), 1.26 inches in Pinlaung, 1.22 inches in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri), 1.18 inches in Kawkareik and 1.10 inches in Mingin.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
