29-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” has crossed near Trincomalee(Srilanka) and moved North- Northwestwards. It is centered at about 795 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 175 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 45 Nautical miles West-Northwestwards of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards across Northeastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and near South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.   Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy  over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and A few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Southern Shan and Kayin States, scattered in Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions, Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kalay (4.06)inches, Tamu (3.39)inches, Matupi (2.60)inches, Pathein (2.24)inches, Hkamti (2.16)inches, Tharrawady (1.93)inches, Naypyitaw(Zabutiri) (1.85)inches, Hakha (1.66)inches, Tiddim (1.61)inches, Kawthaung (1.58)inches, Mindat and Homalin (1.53)inches each, Kalewa and Khayan (1.50)inches each, Pyinmana (1.46)inches, Mingin (1.42)inches and Monyin (1.38)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Southern Shan, Kayah and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.  Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (3 - 6) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
