SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.11 inches in Putao, 2.17 inches in Hkamti, 1.89 inches in Pyinmana, 1.85 inches in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri), 1.62 inches in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri), 1.50 inches each in Okkan and Kungyangon, 1.46 inches in Pyay and 1.26 inches each in Taunggu, Taungdwingyi and Zalun.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Chin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Upper sagaing, Taninthayi regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
