SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kayah State, scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.69 inches in Kalay, 4.57 inches in Nyaungshwe, 3.15 inches in Nyaungdon, 2.46 inches in Panglong, 2.28 inches in Hakha, 2.20 inches in Loilin, 2.09 inches each in Madauk and Machanbaw, 1.93 inches in Hkamti, 1.73 inches in Minesat and 1.49 inches in Lashio.

BAYINFERENCE:  According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal(South Odisha - North Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and across South Odisha - North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 24 hrs. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, (Southern and Easthern)Shan States.
