1-12-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards weaken into a Deep Depression and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 40 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Channei. It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) and may weak into Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair in the Andaman Sea, cloudy in Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kachin State,  fairly widespread in Eastern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Tanithayi Region, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Dawei (7.01)inches, Launglon (6.65)inches, Yay (4.84)inches, Mudon (4.06)inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.94)inches, Manaung and Coco-Island (3.67)inches each, Sittwe (3.46)inches, Kyaukphyu (3.11)inches, Chaungsone (2.91)inches, Kya-In-Seikkyi and Mawlamyine (2.75)inches each, Mogoke (2.60)inches, Singu, Zulun and Hlaingbwe (2.48)inches each, Hpa-an (2.40)inches, Shwegwun and Paung (2.36)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
