BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal (off Odisha Coast, India) still persists. It is likely continue to move slowly West–Northwestwards and across Odisha, India during next 24 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the wind wave has crossed Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Sagaing, Magway Regions (Myanmar), continue moved Westwards and downgraded. The remnant clouds of wind wave are forming a Monsoon trough Chin, Rakhine States, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Mandalay Regions and Shan States.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 28th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing  Regions and Kayah, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Squall with rough seas are likely at times in off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States
