SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Chin States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.72 inches in Pinlaung, 1.93 inches in Kawkareik, 1.84 inches in Mawkmai, 1.69 inches in Taunggyi, 1.20 inches in Tachilaik, 0.95 inch in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri), 0.83 inch in Coco Island, 0.71 inch in Mudon, 0.61 inch in Mongpan and 0.59 inch in Putao.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Chin, Eastern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
