22-10-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal (off Tamil Nadu coast, India) still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and may across North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAYINFERENCE   Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES:  According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “MATMO” over the crossed between Zhanjiang and Leizhou, Guangdong, Southern China and has moved West-Northwestwards and is  start crossing Gulf of Tonkin . It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and downgrade into a Severe Tropical Storm and may continue cross Coastal areas of Guangxi, Southern China during next 12 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 6th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine, Northern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah, Eastern Shan States and fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Shan State.
