23-10-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal (off Tamil Nadu coast, India) has moved Northwestwards and crossed North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and weakened into a Low pressure area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAYINFERENCE   Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES:  According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, yesterday’s night the Typhoon “MATMO” has crossed Gulf of Tonkin, moved West-Northwestwards and downgraded into a Severe Tropical Storm crossing Coastal areas of Guangxi, Southern China. It is likely to continue to move West-Northwestwards and downgrade into a Tropical Storm during next 9 hours and may continue to cross the interior part of Guangxi, Southern China and boundary areas of Northern Vietnam. Thereafter, it may cross the boundary areas of Northern Vietnam and downgrade into a Land Depression over Yunnan, China during next 24 hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 6th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Shan State.
